When planning their wedding, many brides immediately think they should wear their hair in an French twist, classic bun or other elegant up-do. However, the trend has been changing in recent years and many brides, including celebrities such as Eva Longoria and Katie Holmes, are wearing their hair down on their wedding day.

Brides with short hair look great by leaving their hair down in light curls or gentle waves. Brides with longer hair will look stunning by creating long flowing or spiral curls.

Even if you choose to wear your hair down, consider pulling just part of it away from your face in a fancy hair clip. This will keep your beautiful face at the center of attention.

Whatever hairstyle you choose, be sure to try out the hairstyle with your stylist several weeks before your wedding. Bring your veil, tiara or other headpiece that you will be wearing to your wedding to the trial run. This way your stylist will be aware of exactly what they are dealing with and you will know that you are happy with the look.

Don’t create a hairstyle that requires too much maintenance. The last thing that you want to worry about on your wedding day is whether you need more hairspray, your clip is sliding out or your up-do is falling down. If you wear your hair down in a more carefree style, from the walk down the aisle to last dance at the reception, you won’t have to worry about your hair.
