“I happily admit that I am addicted to WeddingWire.  I have a browser open at all waking hours (and have stayed up late just because there is a good discussion on the forums).  I cannot imagine planning a wedding without the help of your site.  I would have lost it and shot my MoH long ago.  The reason I joined WeddingWire was for your tools.  I love the checklist and budget features since they help keep me on track.  However, the best part about WeddingWire was something I didn’t join expecting- the friendships.  I have no doubt that I will still be on WeddingWire long after I am actually married just to provide support and help to my WeddingWire family.  I can log on in a terrible mood and before I realize it I am laughing about hilarious postings.  I can vent without worrying what people will think, and I can get honest but constructive comments on my wedding plans.  When Roger and I had to postpone the wedding indefinitely because of my health issues I actually felt more comfortable talking to the women on WeddingWire than anyone.  They made a terrible time a lot easier.  I was overjoyed the day I could get back on and tell my WW Sisters that I was healthy enough to start planning again.  There are other wedding sites out there (apparently) but none that even come close to rivaling WeddingWire.”

Erin and Keith’s wedding is the definition of a pure DIY.  Erin pulled together all of the details in a little over a year from flowers to invitations.  She had originally wanted a wedding on the beach with 200 guests, but opted for 88 guests at a venue called the Smog Shoppe in LA, based on their budget.  The bonus to cutting the wedding in half was that it left some wiggle room for a lot of the amazing details she pulled together.  What Erin definitely discovered was that you can find pretty much anything and everything you need from the places around you.  She began collecting things like blue mason jars and votive candle holders, and using throw pillows she’d bought years before at a flea market.  In the end, the below images tell the story of a couple, and that’s when you know you’ve designed a successful wedding! Congrats to Erin and Keith!

From the Photographer: “Everything about this wedding was amazing, the location, the couple, the feel of the whole day… even the weather! This wedding was one of those weddings we have always wanted to shoot. We drove out past a ton of corn fields to this red, octagonal barn and I walked into the 2nd floor of this amazing, huge old barn where their friends and family were running around, helping to set up… it was the best thing I’ve ever seen. Everywhere you looked there were hand made decorations that Annie obviously put all of her heart into and you could tell were all about the two of them. Old sewing spindles, vintage books, flowers, hand sews pieces… it was beautiful.  She even made her own dress out of 3 vintage dresses!! Come on!!” -Heather,  Jagger Photography

From the Bride: “Iowa was our inspiration. Jared and I moved here from the coast, not knowing what to expect, and a little nervous about what we would find. But instead of being flat and dull, we found it to be so lovely, with rolling hills and a profusion of wildflowers and the most amazing old barns scattered everywhere. When we began to plan our wedding, we just let the theme emerge from this place we had fallen in love with. Then we just gathered or made things that seemed somehow to fit. The overall feel we wanted for our wedding was relaxed, cozy, colorful, and glowing with love.“
